Legal Requirements
Nothing scary because Amanda can help you with all these documents at your first meeting.
You need to complete a notice of intention to enter a civil partnership. This form must be lodged with the Celebrant of your choice a minimum of 1 calendar month prior to your wedding day. This notice must be provided not earlier than 18 months from your wedding date.
You need to show original proof of ID and eligibility documents.
You may need legal documents to show the place and date of your birth or Divorce.
The date and place of birth (original birth certificate) and current photo ID of each partner—if you were born outside Australia, a current passport
A divorce document or death certificate of any former spouse, if applicable.
